Chemical engineering junior James Wortman earns top internship and award with Society of Chemical Industry 

Chemical engineering junior James Wortman has been named a 2017 Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) Scholar.James Wortman will spend his summer in an industrial internship at Chemtura Corp. in Arkansas.

The program, through the American Chemical Society, funds internship opportunities of up to $10,000 for exceptional sophomores and juniors in chemistry and chemical engineering. 

He was awarded a summer industrial internship at Chemtura Corporation in El Dorado, Arkansas, where he will work in the plant's bromine operations. 

He is from Harwinton, Connecticut.
