Chemical engineering junior James Wortman earns top internship and award with Society of Chemical Industry
Chemical engineering junior James Wortman has been named a 2017 Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) Scholar.
The program, through the American Chemical Society, funds internship opportunities of up to $10,000 for exceptional sophomores and juniors in chemistry and chemical engineering.
He was awarded a summer industrial internship at Chemtura Corporation in El Dorado, Arkansas, where he will work in the plant's bromine operations.
He is from Harwinton, Connecticut.
