Participants from outside the United States may need
to apply for a visa at the American Embassy,
consulate, or other visa-issuing office in their
country of origin. Please begin your visa
application process as soon as you register.
Consulates in some countries take several months to
process applications.
If you need a letter in
support of a visa application, please register
the conference and fill the
"Request for Visa Assistance
form" with the confirmation number,
then send your
request to nmdc2009@egr.msu.edu.
IEEE's guidelines for providing visa letters are as
follows:
- People the committee knows
- Speakers/Presenters
- Committee members
- Attendees who have paid their registration
fee in full and are not from one of the
countries embargoed by the U.S. Treasury
