Matt Mutka Named IEEE Fellow

Matt MutkaMatt Mutka, professor and chairperson of the Michigan State University Department of Computer Science and Engineering, has been named an IEEE fellow, effective January 1, 2013, in recognition of his contributions to distributed computing, mobile computing, and networking.

Conferred by the board of directors, IEEE fellow is the highest grade of membership and is recognized by the technical community as a prestigious honor and an important career achievement. The total number of fellows selected in any one year cannot exceed one-tenth of one-percent of the total voting membership.
