Faculty, Staff Honored at 22nd Annual Engineering Awards Luncheon

The College of Engineering honored faculty and staff members for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service at the 22nd annual Engineering Awards Luncheon on March 22, 2012, at the University Club of MSU.

Recipients of the Withrow Teaching Excellence Awards are: Christopher M. Saffron, assistant professor of biosystems and agricultural engineering; S. Patrick Walton, associate professor of chemical engineering and materials science; Susan J. Masten, professor of civil and environmental engineering; Wayne R. Dyksen, professor of computer science and engineering; Edward J. Rothwell, professor of electrical and computer engineering; and Laura J. Genik, academic specialist in mechanical engineering.

Lalita Udpa, professor of electrical and computer engineering, received the Distinguished Scholar - Senior Award; and Tonghun Lee, associate professor of mechanical engineering, is the recipient of the Distinguished Scholar - Junior Award.

Laura K. Dillon, professor of computer science and engineering, received the Withrow Exceptional Service Award; and Theo Caldwell, director of the Diversity Programs Office, received the Withrow Student Service Award. Paula A. Holzheuer, administrative assistant in the Division of Engineering Research, is the recipient of the Gloria Stragier Award for Dedicated and Creative Service.
