In order to receive full benefits, you must be a member of the MSE society.
If you are not a member of the MSE society, but are interested in joining, there is a
form you may fill out on-line to apply for membership.
Although it is not a requirement, we do suggest that you become a member of TMS/ASM/ACS. TMS refers to "The Metallurgical
Society," ASM to "American Society of Metals" formerly, and ACS "The American Ceramic Society." These three materials
societies are highly regarded and have very active chapters in this area. As a member you will receive a number of
benefits, such as scholarship applications, network contacts, job postings, etc. One of the most valuable benefits
comes in the form of magazines. As a member of TMS/ASM/ACS you will receive magazines containing the latest news in the field.
These are especially useful for juniors in MSE 360/370 classes. Becoming a member of TMS/ASM costs only $25 for the whole
year. Click on the link below and you will be taken to the membership application page.
