- Development of surface stress sensor arrays for fluids, including MEMS devices.
- Application of sensor arrays to diagnostics and control of flows.
- Low-dimensional models for characterization of turbulent and separated flow structures.
- Improved understanding of high Reynolds number turbulence.
- Applications to active flow control, flow-induced noise and vibration problems, and whole-field surface diagnostics.
