Sam Leitkam, PhD Student of Dr. Tamara Bush earns 3rd place in ASME Competition

Sam Leitkam has earned 3rd place in the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Bioengineering Division Bioengineering PhD Competition in the Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal and Injury Mechanics Category of the Doctoral Student Paper Competition at the 2013 ASME Summer Bioengineering Conference in SunriverOregon for his presentation “Modeling Finger Capabilities for use in Assessment and Monitoring of Hand Rehabilitation”

A total of 177 students submitted abstracts to the PhD Competition. His abstract was one of the top 36 PhD abstracts, and was given as a *podium presentation* during one of six Special Sessions devoted to PhD finalists.
