Mechanical Engineering's New Art & Poetry Gallery!

The Department of Mechanical Engineering has long felt that its students, staff, and faculty think out of the box and equally important create out of the box. With this in mind, and in honor of the beginning of the 9th Annual College of Engineering Poetry Forum, the department has launched an on-line Art & Poetry Gallery, which contains selections from poetry created by Engineering students, staff, and faculty for the past 8 years. 

Also shown on the website are works of art created by high school students from Okemos and Williamston. Through a collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, these students used a Jeep engine as a stimulus to create paintings focusing on energy. The art works form a visible bridge between engineering, art, and student impressions of engineering.

National Poetry Month - Write a Poem for the 9th Annual College of Engineering Poetry Forum!

We are accepting entries for the 9th Annual College of Engineering Poetry Forum until April 20th. Please encourage your students, friends, children, neighbors, and yourselves to write a line or two to celebrate life, the college and engineering.
