Congratulations to Erik Goodman, Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.  Goodman has been selected to receive the Distinguished Professor of the Year Award from the Presidents Council, State Universities of Michigan.   He is one of three recipients chosen to receive the award, which recognizes the outstanding contributions made by the faculty of Michigan’s public universities to the education of undergraduate students. 

Goodman is the academic advisor for half of the honors students in the computer engineering major and teaches the senior capstone design course in electrical and computer engineering.  Goodman places emphasis on guiding students into undergraduate research experiences, study abroad and enrollment in graduate classes.
