Dr. Eann Patterson spent several days in China visiting the Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the Automotive Energy Research Center at Tsinghua University and the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.  The purpose of this visit was to look at areas of synergy in research and to develop a framework for collaboration in the education of graduate students.  Additionally, the potential for collaborative research through faculty and student exchanges and joint funding proposals in the fields of automotive energy was explored.
