We are pleased to have three new assistant professors join our Department this fall.  In addition to their teaching responsibilities, all three will be members of the newly-established Composite Vehicle Research Center (CVRC).  Dr. Soonsung Hong (Ph.D., Engineering, Solid Mechanics, Brown University), will be developing the self-diagnostic composite structures thrust area.  Dr. Arjun Tekalur (Ph.D., Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics, University of Rhode Island), will focus on the biomimetics thrust area, and Dr. Xinran Xiao (Ph.D., Applied Sciences, Free University of Brussels) will concentrate her research in structural integrity thrust. 

Professors Hong, Tekalur and Xiao will be valuable assets in providing our undergraduate and graduate programs with illuminating insight and opportunities, and our research teams with additional achievement.
