Professor Tonghun Lee Awarded Air Force Grant Mechanical Engineering's Professor Tonghun Lee is one of 39 engineers and scientists chosen for $12.1 million in grants as part of the Air Force Office of Scientific Research's Young Investigator Research Program. This highly competitive process is intended to foster creative research in a wide range of areas. The AFOSR received 210 proposals in areas such as aerospace, chemical and material sciences, physics and electronics; and mathematics, information and life sciences.
