Engineering Design Days

At the end of each semester, the College of Engineering at Michigan State University holds its Design Days, allowing pre-college students to interact with college students studying engineering. The event began on Thursday, April 24, and continued Friday, April 25, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the MSU Union. Thursday, middle school students travelled from all over Michigan to engage in activities incorporating "hands-on" learning as part of the Dart Foundation's Day of Engineering Innovation and Creativity. On Friday, student teams within the college earned a chance to show off their projects which combine engineering theory and practice. Graduating seniors were the highlight of the two-day event as they got the opportunity to present their capstone design projects and interact with over 35 industrial sponsors. Design Days enables the students to challenge themselves technically and prepare to begin a successful career.
