The Michigan State University Baja SAE Racing Team took third place at the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) 2008 World Congress at Detroit's Cobo Hall in April. Team members Emily Duszynski, Ken Maisonville, and Josh Thomet gave a presentation integrating this year's theme of, "A Climate for a Change," to receive third place honors along with a $600 cash prize. The presentation included the team's project objectives and design processes, stories demonstrating teamwork and passion, and an evaluation of their vehicle, which provided some of the technical data on the design.
