Graduate Student Endowment
Giving Back
Graduate Education is an integral part of the Department’s mission and at the same time it is becoming an increasingly crucial part of the career development of professional engineers. This web page provides some background on the way in which a graduate education is becoming the norm for professional engineers and how it makes an important contribution to a vibrant, knowledge-based economy. Also, you can view the profiles of a number of current graduate students some of whom are benefiting from Graduate Endowments provided by alumni.
Graduate fellowships make a difference

Tomorrow’s economic growth and quality of life are fuelled by today’s research and invention. Many key indicators of research output show that the strength of the US has declined in recent years. ME@MSU is striving to increase its research output both in terms of patents, published scientific papers and MS/PhD students. Graduate fellowships help by providing stipends and covering tuition costs to attract the best students to Michigan State University.
Casey Allen has returned from industry to pursue research in laser diagnostics applied to the design of lowemission engines. His PhD program is partially supported by a Colucci Graduate Fellowship.
