Michigan Council for Internships & Cooperative Education
2007 Employer of the Year Award

The purpose of this award is to enable members of the Michigan Council for Internships & Cooperative Education to recognize the outstanding contributions by an employer organization for their efforts in promoting and sustaining quality internship/ cooperative education programs in the State of Michigan.

PROCEDURE:

A sub-group will determine possible candidates, consisting of school members of the MC-ICE Executive Board. However, any MC-ICE member may submit the names of qualified employers for consideration to any school member of the Executive Board.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Nominees will be reviewed according to the following criteria:

  1. Commitment to the concept of internship or cooperative education.
  2. Strength/quality of internship/co-op experiences for students.
  3. Continuity of internship/co-op programming.
  4. Participation in MC-ICE activities.
AWARD SELECTION:

Members of the MC-ICE Awards Committee will determine the recipient.

AWARD:

A special plaque will be presented at the MC-ICE Annual Meeting. In addition, appropriate publicity may be forwarded to the media, including the employers “in-house” communication/PR department.
