2007 DON HUNT SERVICE AWARD

PURPOSE:

To give recognition to an individual in the internship/cooperative education community for significant contributions in promoting and sustaining the internship and cooperative education philosophy in Michigan.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

The educator or employer nominee must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrates initiative for internship/co-op activities which benefit Michigan
  • Supports the Michigan Council for Internships & Cooperative Education
  • Encourages employer development in Michigan
  • Acts as a mentor to Michigan internship/ co-op professionals
  • Involved in Internship/Co-op Associations at the regional or national level

ELIGIBILITY:

Nominations for the award are open to all practicing or former internship/co-op professionals. Nominations must include a narrative demonstrating how the candidate meets the selection criteria. Letters of support for the nomination are encouraged, and should be included with nomination materials.

The postmark deadline for nominations is April 5, 2007. The MC-ICE Executive Committee, upon recommendation of the Awards and Recognition Committee will make selection in early May. Any nominee serving on these committees will abstain from the selection process. The award will be presented at the MC-ICE Annual Meeting held in June 2007.
