My research focuses on microbial processing for sustainable bioproduct development. I integrates microbiology fundamentals with engineering principles to develop environmentally friendly bioprocesses and translate them into real-world applications.
My research group studies diverse microbial systems, including fungi, yeasts, bacteria, algae, and microbial communities, and develops innovative processes to convert biological resources into value-added products. Current research spans several interconnected areas, including agricultural pest management, bioenergy, CO₂ sequestration and climate change, and human and animal health and nutrition.
Through an integrated approach linking microbial systems, bioprocessing, bioproduct development, and applications, I aim to develop sustainable technologies that contribute to agriculture, renewable energy, environmental sustainability, and human and animal health.
