IGW3.5 was originally developed at Portland State University and refined and extended at Michigan State University under the sponsorship of the National Science Foundation. The primary authors of IGW3.5 are Shu-Guang Li and Qun Liu. Other authors of the software include Huasheng Liao and Qingsheng Huang. David Ni contributed to the implementation of statistical data analysis, variogram modeling, Kriging, and geostatistical simulation. Kyle Paulson and Shu-Guang Li were the authors of the IGW 3.5 tutorial that provides a step-by-step case study and users manual that documents in detail the software interface and numerical modeling capabilities. Qun Liu programmed the on-line interactive wizard for beginners; Steve Wesley provided the responses to the Frequently Asked Questions. Soheil Afshari and Huasheng Liao performed IGW3.5 code testing against known analytical solutions. Soheil Afshari and Andreanne Simard performed a preliminary comparison and cross-validation of the IGW methodology with the numerical methods used in traditional software engine MODFLOW and MT3D. Shu-Guang Li performed systematic testing of the overall software package. Harry Prawiranata provided assistance in software testing. Minjiao Lu contributed to the design of the IGW software homepage.
