Submission:
We plan to publish a hardcopy of the proceedings with attached CD.
All the submissions must be in electronic form through this web page  
http://www.egr.msu.edu/icdl02/. To submit a paper, create an account and login at the top of this page. The format is specified in http://www.computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm. Latex users can click here to download IEEELatexTemplate.tex file and here to download IEEELatexTemplate.sty. Word users can click here to download IEEEWordTemplate.dot file.
The files for uploading must be in Postscript (PS) format as required by IEEE. Click "Upload a paper" above (shown after you have created your profile) to view the required information and instructions about generating PS files from a windows computer. The deadline for the submission is January 20, 2002.

Papers:
The authors are required to submit via "Upload a paper" the following: 
(A) a one-page (full page, the same format as the paper) abstract with essential figures and major results and 
(B) a full paper of up to 6 proceeding pages.  
Both abstract and full paper are required for each submission.

Tutorials:
Send the following two required files in PS format via e-mail to mahadeva@cs.umass.edu with cc to weng@msu.edu. 
File (A): Tutorial introduction, using the same format as the abstract of a paper above. It consists of the following three major parts for possible tutorial announcement:
(1) a 300- to 600-word abstract;
(2) a table of contents;
(3) a 100- to 200-word short biography of the presenter(s).  
File (B): A detailed resume of the presenter(s), which should contain
supporting background information about the presenter(s). 
In the e-mail cover letter, mention the proposed tutorial length, a half day (3 hours) or a full day (6 hours), and the URL of the home page.
