Greetings! The Michigan State University College of Engineering Recruitment and K-12 Education Outreach Office welcomes you and your child(ren) to the Women in Engineering Program. The summer programs offer rigorous, yet rewarding learning experiences in various engineering fields that focus on problem identification, team-building, communication, problem-solving, programming, research methods, technical writing, presentation and competition.
Students will have an opportunity to gain exposure to the Michigan State University resources that support academic and professional competencies. Additional activities feature personal and professional interaction with College of Engineering faculty, staff, students, corporate representatives, and world-renown scientists and engineers.
Classes will be held in the Engineering Building classrooms and computer laboratories. Undergraduate Assistants will be available to assist Lead Instructors.

Educational Responsibilities of Participants
- Manage time efficiently in order to complete all assignments in a timely and acceptable manner.
- Seek assistance from the classroom facilitators.
- Put forth every effort necessary for best work.
Supervision
Students are to remain under the supervision of a staff member at all times. Students will not be permitted to leave during the program. Exceptions may be made only in collaboration between parent(s) and the program director. Student will only be released to those designated by the parent(s) or guardian on the "Permission Slip" form.
