Program Description

The Michigan State University College of Engineering, Diversity Programs Office has been involved with the Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP) since its inception in 1977, providing instructional and practical application activities for traditionally underrepresented minority students in Detroit area schools. The Diversity Programs Office sponsors a three-week summer residential program designed to give DAPCEP students preliminary exposure to life on a college campus, instruction in computer programming/design, math, technical writing, research using the web, and a variety of educational field trips.
