Engineering Student Organization - Recruitment and K-12 Outreach Event Planning

Engineering Student Organization Presidents and Outreach Coordinators,

Many of your organizations have a community outreach and/or volunteer coordinator as well as having membership requirement of community service hours. I would like to take this opportunity to invite all the Outreach and Community Volunteer Chair person representing your student organizations to the student organization based Recruitment and Engineering Outreach team. We were quite successful in the past mainly due to student organization such as your's contributing your hard work, time, and effort to reach out to the community.
Our Recruitment and K-12 Outreach Office is involved in many of the major events where we welcome your organization's participation. This fall, some of the major events that we sponsor and participate are the Homecoming Engineering Tailgate, Future Spartan Engineers Open House, Spartan Challenge FIRST LEGO League Regional Tournament, MSU Engineering sponsored FIRST LEGO League, Innovative and Creativity Inspired Design Day for Middle and High School students and teachers, Michigan Youth Engineers and Science Fair(Ford Field, Detroit), and of course the community focused K-12 Engineering Outreach activities such as school visitation, Career Day, and Science Fairs.

I would like to hold a meeting on Tuesday, September 2 at 5 p.m. in 1420 Engineering Building for all the interested student organizations and their outreach/community coordinator. Please RSVP if you, or one of your organizational representatives plan to participate. We will review all the events and collectively sign up for the events during our meeting.
