Drew Kim is Touring China

Drew Kim, Assistant to the Dean for Recruitment and K-12 Outreach is touring China for the month of October. He is presenting a robotic fish research paper at the International Intelligence Robotics and Systems Conference in Beijing and also representing MSU at the Beijing and Shanghai College Fair. He has been visiting a number of high schools in cities such as Chengdu, Chongqing, and Zhengzhou meeting with school officials and to recruit students from top ranked high schools in China. One of the schools he has made a visit to is an old school of one of our Chinese student in electrical engineering student, Coco(Zhang Ke) in Chongqing where he met with school officials and spoke with students interested in studying at MSU. Mr.Kim has indicated that he has been overwhelmed by the welcome from the school officials and Coco's parents. He is scheduled to be at the Beijing College Fair on October 14 and 15, Zhengzhou on October 16 and 17, Chengdu on October 18 and at the Shanghai College Fair on October 20 - 22.

MSU First Lego League Looking for Teams

Shell-MSU FIRST LEGO League team has been in action since September 10 with ten area teams coached by twenty plus MSU College of Engineering students from all majors. MSU IM Cirle will be the official Red Cedar Nanoquest Challenge regional tournament site, first time in MSU history.  We are looking to host twenty teams for the tournament and successful teams from the regional tournament will advance to the Michigan state tournament in December at Novi, Michigan.
