Welcome to the website of the Postharvest
Engineering Lab, which is housed in the Department of Biosystems
and Agricultural Engineering, Farrall Hall, Michigan State
University (MSU) at East Lansing, Michigan. Our research is
a part of the national programs of the Agricultural Research
Service (ARS), the principal research agency of the U.S. Department
of Agriculture (USDA) and is in full partnership with Michigan
State University. Current research is focused on developing
new and improved engineering methods and technologies for
rapid, nondestructive quality evaluation of tree fruits (apples,
cherries, peaches) and vegetables (cucumbers).
