Netzsch LFA-457 System

All experiments using the LFA-457 machine must be proposed and approved before they will be processed by one of the machine operators. There is a charge of $20.00 per sample. The charge is used to help offset the cost of the operation, supplies, and maintenance of the machine. Supplies consist of gloves, liquid nitrogen, graphite spray, and helium gas. Maintenance issues would be replacement of sample holders, vacuum pump oil, and any repairs as they are needed. Operation would be verification of the machine on a quarterly basis.

Once your request is approved and scheduled you will be notified of the run time via e-mail. You are more than welcome to observe the experiment process. Please complete the request below to start the approval process. Any additional questions should be sent to system manager
