Electromagnetics Laboratory at Michigan State University

NSF GOALI Program

The National Science Foundation (NSF) Grant Opportunities for Academic Liaison with Industry (GOALI) program has funded the development of an undergraduate electromagnetic compatibility course to be taught at Michigan State University. The NSF program was set up to foster an interaction between industry and academia. The funding enabled graduate research assistants from MSU to help design the EMC course with the advice and expertise from industry by the Daimler-Chrysler Corporation. As well as the course development, the funding allowed some of the graduate students to perform research guided by both Daimler-Chrysler's industry expertise and MSU's academic experience.
