Ten Great Reasons To Give
- The Donor Drives the Gift! You, as the Donor, have the opportunity to direct your support to any department, program, project or initiative of your choosing.
- Your support will assist the College in maintaining and enhancing the caliber of its faculty and students, its programs and research efforts, and its facilities.
- Your gift and/or pledge is a wonderful way to ensure that future students at the College continue to receive a world class education in their specific field of study.
- 100% of all gifts to the College of Engineering and MSU are used for the Donor's intended purpose. None of your dollars will be taxed for administrative purposes.
- Your gift and/or pledge may qualify you for recognition in one of the University's eight donor societies. Your membership in a donor society provides both the College and the University with a meaningful and prominent way in which to formally recognize your generosity.
- You can pay tribute to a special person in your life by establishing a scholarship, fellowship or other fund in their name.
- Gifts to Michigan State University are tax deductible as provided by law, and may qualify you for State of Michigan tax credit and federal tax deductions. Please talk with your financial adviser about how your gifts may positively affect your tax situation.
- Many companies offer matching-gift programs as a benefit to their employees, increasing a Donor's gift by one, two or possibly three times the original amount.
- MSU employees are able to make their gift and/or pledge by taking advantage of payroll deduction in one lump sum or over a specified period.
