Leaders Encouraging Academic Development (LEAD) Peer Mentorship Program

The LEAD Peer Mentorship Program is designed to match upper class students with first year or transfer engineering students, with a goal of assisting with acclimation to the university environment. Participating student groups include NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers), SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, NOBCChE (National Organization of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers), AISES (American Indian Science & Engineering Society), and AABE (American Association of Blacks in Energy).

Summer Undergraduate Research Academy (SURA) June 21, 2008 - August 15, 2008. Sponsored by the Michigan Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (MI-LSAMP), the DPO and the Charles Drew Science Laboratory.

 

Engineering and Science Summer Academy (ESSA) July 5, 2008 - August 15, 2008. Sponsored by the 3M Foundation, in collaboration with the MI-LSAMP.
