Job Information

This part of the ECE web site is for faculty, staff and students who are searching for jobs. The term "job" has a large meaning as it can mean full-time faculty positions, part-time on-campus jobs, internships or full-time jobs for graduating students.

SpartanTRAK @ MSU Remember that SpartanTRAK, through the Career Services & Placement is a powerful job search engine that will connect students with employers seeking PART-TIME, INTERNSHIPS, FULL-TIME, SUMMER, WORK-STUDY and ON-CAMPUS vacancies.

SpartanTRAK is and will be utilized more by top employers through Michigan, the U.S. and the world. SpartanTRAK offers the convenience of a job posting site, in addition, to setting up interviews when companies come on campus.

Utilize SpartanTRAK through the internet: http://www.csp.msu.edu. All you need is your pilot ID and password to log on. MSU's Career Services & Placement

Career Services & Placement Career Services & Placement is located in the basement of the Student Services Building.

They offer some great magazines e.g., "Planning Job Choices for Engineering". This magazine (book) lists hundreds of companies and what they are looking for--even if they don't mention internships, contact them as the book is mainly for full-time positions.

On-Line Career Center -- http://www.occ.com/ -- updated daily with engineering positions (listed by specialty). Everywhere from contract positions to full-time positions throughout the U.S.

On-Line Career Center Corporate College Recruiting -- http://www.occ.com/occ/oncampus/ -- lists companies that recruit on campus for interns and full-time positions. Companies such as Dell, Intel, Argonne Labs and more.

FastCompany -- http://www.fastcompany.com/career/ -- FastCompany is a magazine looking at business now and in the future. "...there is a community committed to new ways of working, competing, living and growing. The magazine writes about the new economy and workplace for people who believe in fusing tough-minded performance with same human values. We give you real tools to solve real problems." FastCompany has a great career web-site with links to career search engines e.g., monsterboard, careermosaic, in addition, to interview tips, how to find a job over the internet, books, and more. Good web-site to check out.

Career Mosaic-- http://www.careermosaic.com -- a lot of large corporations post here (Intel, Motorola, etc.) http://www.monsterboard.com Also, visit individual company web-sites as the majority now list job openings, in addition, to submitting your resume on-line to them.

Engineer500.com -- http://www.Engineer500.com -- this web-site was developed and is managed by engineers for engineers. You can view positions by state, by the amount of experience (<> 2 years) and position.
