Prof. Mitra receives $1.5M DOE grant for Smart Grid Research
MSU has been awarded $1.5 Million for research on a Smart Grid Decision Tool. This project will develop a Lyapunov function based remedial action screening (L-RAS) tool that will use real-time data. This approach supports selection of appropriate remedial actions that are most likely to result in stabilizing trajectories. This will lead to avoidance of blackouts and cascading failures.
