Subir Biswas Receives

Subir Biswas of Electrical and Computer Engineering, in collaboration with Karin Pfeiffer of MSU Kinesiology, has received a National Institute of Health grant for their project on Studying Human Activity using Wearable Sensor Networks. The grant will support engineering research on self-configurable wearable sensors and their networked interaction through predictive on-body network topology estimation. The project extends PI Biswas’ existing research on wearable cyber-physical systems and their computing, network, and middleware architectures. The developed system from this project will be used for human activity monitoring and accurate metabolic energy computation for child obesity management applications. More about Dr. Biswas’ research can be found at http://neews.egr.msu.edu.
