Former ECE Graduate Wins Bayshore Marathon Nathan Usher, fall 2004 computer engineering graduate, crosses the finish line first at the Bayshore Marathon in Traverse City, Michigan, last Saturday, June 4th. Usher was among 1,400 competitors in the 26.2 mile race, taking him only a little over 2 hours to break the finish line tape, which was also 16 minutes ahead of the second place runner. MiCRoSYSTEMS - Michigan Cognitive Robotic Studies for Youth in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Social Skills, is an innovative education and research program developed at Michigan State University. In an environment called K to PhD, MSU graduate and undergraduate students mentor K-12 students as they study science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and social skills. Micro and nano technologies are introduced to children in a very interesting manner. The program is supervised by Professor Dean Aslam.
