The password for connecting to EGR Wi-Fi WPA2 is " engineering".
EGR Wi-Fi is a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) provided by the College of Engineering and is available to all MSU faculty, staff and students, as well as guests of engineering faculty and staff. There are over 140 Access Points (APs) installed strategically to provide coverage throughout the buildings--even in courtyard and cafe areas. The wireless network traffic is separated from normal wired traffic for security reasons. The APs tunnel traffic through to a group of centralized wireless controllers, managed by DECS, to ensure a consistent and effective network configuration.
EGR Wi-Fi supports the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) standards on both 2.4 and 5 Ghz. The EGRnet wireless network uses the SSID, or network name of "EGR Wi-Fi". WPA2-Personal encryption may also be used by using the "EGR Wi-Fi WPA2" SSID and the passphrase of "engineering".
