COMSOL Multiphysics is a modeling package for the simulation of any physical process you can describe with partial differential equations (PDEs). It features state-of-the-art solvers that address complex problems quickly and accurately, while its intuitive structure is designed to provide ease of use and flexibility.
ANSYS FLUENT software contains the broad physical modeling capabilities needed to model flow, turbulence, heat transfer, and reactions for industrial applications ranging from air flow over an aircraft wing to combustion in a furnace, from bubble columns to oil platforms, from blood flow to semiconductor manufacturing, and from clean room design to wastewater treatment plants. Special models that give the software the ability to model in-cylinder combustion, aeroacoustics, turbomachinery, and multiphase systems have served to broaden its reach.
Formerly known as Fluent /Gambit, a computer program for modeling fluid flow and heat transfer in complex geometries. Gambit is a pre-processor for geometry modeling and mesh generation.
Patran is a pre- and post processor for CAE simulation. The advanced modeling and surfacing tools of the program allow you to create a finite element model from scratch.
MATLAB® is a high-level language and interactive environment that enables you to perform computationally intensive tasks faster than with traditional programming languages such as C, C++, and Fortran.
Also see the web page for the MATLAB Distributed Computing Engine for information on how to use this tool.
LS-DYNA is a general purpose transient dynamic finite element program capable of simulating complex real world problems. It is optimized for shared and distributed memory Unix, Linux, and Windows based platforms.
