C# is a simple, type-safe, object-oriented, general-purpose programming language. Visual C# provides code-focused developers with powerful tools and language support to build rich, connected web and client applications on the .NET Framework.

Where is Visual C# .NET?

Visual C# is available in all Engineering public labs.

Getting Started

  • Go to: Start-->All Programs-->MS Visual Studio .NET-->MS Visual Studio .NET and select it. The window will pop up.
  • Go to File, New, Project. Then choose Visual C# projects. This will take you to the next window.
  • Visual C# also has a built-in help library in case you need assistance with coding. To start it, click on "Help" under the menu bar and select "Index"; a window will pop up. From there, you can search for a particular item that you need.
