DECS supports and will install the physical (wired) networking in the following locations:

  • Engineering Building
  • Engineering Research Complex (ERC)
  • Engineering Research Complex South (ERC South)
  • Jolly Road Facilities
  • Civil Infrastructure Lab
  • Composite Vehicle Research Center (CVRC)
  • Michigan Biotechnology Institute (MBI)
  • Wilson Hall room G79 and C4
  • Technology Innovation Center (MSU Technologies)
  • Trout Food Science Third Floor

Networks managed by DECS provide either Fast Ethernet (100Mbps) or Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps) connectivity to network jacks. All rooms in the Engineering Building and Engineering Research Complex have network jacks. One or more network jacks should be located in the room somewhere on a wall about a foot above the floor and may be orange.
