Web and Database Hosting is provided to the faculty, staff and students in the College of Engineering.

Department, Research & Organization Web Hosting

Any organization or group in engineering can request space on the engineering webserver. The default setup on the webserver is to create a site folder and assign a group or individual as owners of the folder. The address will be in the form of http://www.egr.msu.edu/group_name. For research and other specialized projects a unique domain name can be assigned.

Organizations include:

  • Departments
  • Research groups
  • Research/funded projects
  • Student organizations
  • Engineering initiatives
  • Engineering sponsored events and conferences

Personal Web Serving

All faculty, staff and students can create a personal homepage. Simply create your page and then setup a www folder in your home directory. It is that easy!
