The College of Engineering's Reappointment, Promotion, and Tenure Action System (RPTAS) is an online application that allows faculty to generate and manage documents for reappointment, promotion, and tenure actions. This form has gone through many updates and modifications based on faculty and staff feedback since it launched a few years ago. One of the modifications provides department supervisors the ability to upload corresponding documents (the department report, research expenditures report, etc.) for all faculty candidates. This feature will be used starting with the 2012 P&T review process. The most recent addition included a section for the college level review committee to review candidate documents, upload the committee reports, execute straw-poll voting, etc.—all the functionality and tools needed to conduct committee actions online.
