Dual Monitors 2009-2010

All DECS public computer labs now have dual monitors. Dual monitors serve two main functions: they offer more screen space for students to spread out their work and multi-task more efficiently, and the most beneficial purpose is the improvement in classroom instruction. Each dual monitor lab has an "Instructors Station." This station can send the contents of its primary monitor to the students' secondary monitor. Instead of projecting the instructors' primary monitor onto the wall with a projector, each student computer can have the instructors' monitor displayed on one of their monitors. This way every student has a clear view of the instructors' lecture presentation.
