New features added to the Faculty Activity Information System (FAIS) application will greatly simplify the process of entering report data for the faculty members. New features include:
- Ability to import data from the previous report (if it was filled last year using FAIS) for the Proposals, Courses, Research Students, Public Service, Institutional Service, Other Activities, and Achievement & Plans.
- The way coauthors are entered and edited for the Publication was improved. Now, coauthors and all other publication information can be added or edited on the same page. The same change applies for coauthors, Co-PIs, and supported students added to Presentations and Proposals.
- "Drag and drop" mechanism was added for sorting coauthors of a Publication.
We are currently working on an extension of the Faculty Activity Information System - Tenure and Promotion Reports (Form D). Form D allows faculty members to create their reports online with the ability to store the information in the database for further use, similar to the FAIS application.
