Large Format Printer
There are two large format HP DesignJet T1200ps plotters available which prints on 36" paper. Plots may be picked up in DECS Support Office during hours of operation. Plots MUST be submitted at least 30 minutes prior to the Support Office closing time.
Tips to Keep in Mind When Designing Posters:
- Our paper is 36" wide, the largest standard poster we can print is 36" x 54".
- DECS has a large paper cutter that accommodates pages up to 54" in length, any poster greater than 54" will need to be cut manually with scissors by the user and an additional fee for materials may be assessed.
- If you wish to laminate your poster it should be 52" in length or shorter due to the limitations of the paper cutter.
- Larger files can take up to several hours for the plotter to process. Large files can be caused by multiple, complex, or semi-transparent images.
The plotters are for use by any faculty, staff, or student of MSU.
The plotters are located in the DECS Support Office, 1325 Engineering Building.
For engineering faculty, staff, or students, plots can be deducted from your print quota at a rate of 150 pages per plot or can be purchased for $7.50 per plot. Lamination is available at an additional cost of $15.
For non-engineering faculty, staff, or students, plots can be purchased for $25 per plot. Lamination of the poster is availble at an additional cost of $15. We are only able to accept cash, check, or faculty/staff approved use of a departmental account number. Any student who attempts to use a departmental account number will be advised we need to receive an email at support@egr.msu.edu authorizing the use of the account number from a facutly or staff member before a finished poster may be taken.
