Photo of Dell Precision Desktop WorkstationA Dell Precision Workstation is available in the DECS Support Office, 1325 Engineering Building. The machine is available for working on video capture, conversions, and editing.

The workstation has an input device which can accept Mini DV and VHS tapes. It can also accept connections from any FireWire or USB video devices. Adobe Premiere is available for all editing purposes, and Autodesk Cleaner is available for video encoding. Instructions are available to assist you in uploading your videos and help you get started.

The video capturing utilities are available to all faculty, staff, or students with a valid EGR NetID.

The video capturing system is available for use on a first-come, first-serve basis; otherwise, it can be reserved at any time by faculty, staff, or students (who have faculty/staff approval) by contacting the Support Office. There is no charge for using this resource.
