Set Up Outlook 2011 For Mac OSX

These instructions will help you set up Outlook 2011 for Mac OSX using your EGR account. 

1. The Account Setup Assistant should automatically start the first time you open Outlook 2011. If it does not, go to Tools > Accounts.
2. On the bottom left side of the Accounts window you will see a "+".  Clicking that will open a dropdown menu.  From the dropdown menu, select email. 
3. On the Accounts Window type in the following information:
   
   • Email Address: username@egr.msu.edu
   • Password: your engineering net-id password
   • User name: your username
   • Incoming Server: mail.egr.msu.edu (make sure that "Use SSl to connect" is checked)
   • Port: 993
   • Outgoing Server: mail.egr.msu.edu (make sure that "Use SSl to connect" is checked)
   • Port: 587
4. Click on the "Add Account" button.
5. Close the "Accounts" window. Outlook is now ready to use.
