Windows XP:

  1. Click Start.
  2. Select Run.
  3. Type cmd in the dialog box and press Enter.
  4. Type ipconfig /all and press Enter.
  5. Record the physical address listed in the format 00-00-00-00-00-00

Mac OSX:

  1. From Finder select Go and then Utilities.
  2. Select the Network Utility.
  3. From the dropdown list, select the desired network adapter.
  4. The physical address is listed in the format 00:00:00:00:00:00

Linux:

  1. Open a shell.
  2. Type /sbin/ifconfig eth0 | grep HWaddr
  3. The HWaddr is listed in the format 00:00:00:00:00:00
