Convert a Doc to PDF

Unfortunately, we are no longer providing the online DOC-to-PDF converter.  Below we have provided various resources for converting a word doc to a pdf:

The full version of Adobe Acrobat is installed with a Microsoft Word plug-in. This allows you to covert documents right from Word.Use

Additionally, OpenOffice.org or Star Office, can found pre-installed on many machines and in the labs.

Microsoft Office 2010 also offers the option to "Save As a PDF" file.  

Directions for Converting with:

 A)  Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word:

  1. Select Convert to Adobe PDF on the menu bar.

    (Note: If the menu bar is not present, select View -> Toolbars -> PDFMaker 7.0. The version may be different on your computer.)

  2. You may be asked to save you file first, select Yes.

  3. Type in the desired Filename, then select Save.

B)  Open Office:

  1. Select File -> Export as PDF (Click on images for larger view)

  2. Type in the desired Filename then select Save.

  3. The default settings should work, though you can change them if desired. Select Export to finish creating the PDF.

C) Microsoft Office 2010:

  1.  Open the Doc/Docx document in Office 2010 Word you want to convert to PDF
  2. Click the Office Button and select Save As
  3. Click on Save as Type and select PDF(*.pdf)
  4. Name your file and click save
