PROJECTS

  • TRP - Technology Reinvestment Project

    The NSF Center on Low-Cost, High-Speed Polymer Composites Processing at Michigan State University was recently awarded with a Technology Reinvestment Project (TRP) for a joint program proposed with the University of Delaware Center for Composite Materials. The objective of the program is to improve the effectiveness of the educational programs and technology transfer activities of the two participating universities and to integrate the latest developments in low-cost manufacturing into the undergraduate engineering and continuing education programs.


CENTERS AFFILIATED WITH MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY

  • This NSF center is a state of the art facility containing more than $9 million in analytical, characterization equipment for polymer composites research and annual research expenditures of $5 million. The NSF Center on Low-Cost, High-Speed Polymer Composites Processing is located within the Composite Materials and Structures Center.
     

  • UD-CCM - University of Delaware Center for Composite Materials

    Founded in 1974 within the University of Delaware's College of Engineering, the Center for Composite Materials (CCM) is an internationally recognized, interdisciplinary center of excellence for composites research and education.

  • Center for Advanced Structural Composites

    CASC is a state funded research center for the investigation and development of composite materials for use in structural applications. Currently, the major focus of the center involves testing and characterizing the patented IsoTruss.

  • CMRG - Composite Materials Research Group at The University of Mississippi

    CMRG has grown into a nationally recognized program in the area of Pultrusion research. The Group's commercial pultrusion machine with a computer controlled data acquisition system provides the unique opportunity for the University of Mississippi researchers to be involved in both theoretical and experimental pultrusion process development.
