On Design Day: Friday April 29th Important Information 1. All team members must arrive in the Union ballroom at 8:00am. Check-in process will start at 8:00. Machines will be inspected and impounded. No changes can be made to vehicles at this point, nor will test runs be allowed. 2. During check-in your machine should fit in 6in x 6in x 12in shoebox. Any additional material viz. tape, pins etc should also fit inside shoebox. The tools that you would be using like screw driver etc. need not fit inside shoebox. Not fitting inside shoebox will result into disqualification. At the check-in you will also be given one Radioshack AA 1.5V battery. 3. Judges will call you 3 minutes prior to your turn to collect your vehicle from impound. 4. The five minutes will start as soon as you place your machine on the platform. 5. Once you are done with the assembly, you should inform judges, before starting your machine. Judges will inspect and give a start signal. 6. After judges call ‘Stop’, you can touch the machine and readjust it for further run (if you want to make) 7. If you are making more than one run, the best run will be counted towards your final score. 8. Knocking over/spilling cup during Assembly won’t be penalized and a new full cup will be provided by judges. 9. Before you start your performance judges will make sure that the platform is clean. The platform won’t be cleaned by judges during you performance but if you want to clean the platform you may do so unless all the cleaning equipments also fit in shoebox. 10. After you are done with your performance, you have to pack-up your machine in less than 2min as the next team will be waiting for their performance. This point will also be taken into consideration while deciding the ranks. 11. In the event of a tie the lightest device will win. WISH YOU ALL GOOD LUCK! MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN!
