Our project
Skiing and snowboarding are popular as recreational activities and competitive sports, yet it is very difficult for participants to monitor their performance on the slopes. Ski run distances are seldom marked out which leaves the skier or snowboarder unaware as to how far they have traveled during a run and at what speed. This information would be useful in performance tracking for the competitive participant or as an incidental reference to the recreational skier or snowboarder.
The goal of Team Ten is to design and build a device that can be used by a skier or snowboarder to measure the speed and distance traveled during a run.
