Project Description

Our main objective as described by Borg Warner is to miniaturize the current controller so that it can be packaged in the back side of a new three-way valve that Borg Warner is currently designing.  Borg Warner has also asked the team to make improvements to the current design.  Some of the improvements requested include adding an onboard clock, reverse battery protection, improvement of the temperature rating of many of the components, and simplification of the overall complexity of the design.  Upon completion of the project, all of the hardware and software will become an efficient internal component of the fan system.  This will make the Borg Warner fan an integrated and competitive unit.
